Introductions

A friend of mine and an avid blogger once told me that you don't write to enter the blogosphere, but you write to escape it. His point was that the point of blogging is stand out, to garner an audience, and to leave your competition in the dust. His attitude didn't resonate well with me and left me disinclined to enter a realm meant to be escaped. Of course, he went on to become a business guru, presumably a millionaire, and the owner of a few fast cars. Right now I find myself in the life of a humble student with zero income and a long road ahead of me. I find myself up late at night studying medicine and consuming coffee. And although our paths led us to different places, I find myself more content than I have ever been. In parallel, I have now entered the blogosphere, not to escape it, but to provide some insights and stories to the few who are like-minded. For the pre-medical student, fellow medical student, friend, or foe, I will hopefully write some things worth sharing. I intend for there to be no particular theme beside the ones that run through my life.
